The figure below illustrates how Consignor is consuming the web service (WS) to integrate with web shops or ERP systems. As you can see, Consignor first contacts the WS that is on Consignor web servers. The request is then routed to the appropriate WS hosted by a web shop or ERP system. The main reason for this is that it simplifies the process to add integration with a new system and this brings us to the purpose of this tutorial. Consignor provides and open source WS project free to use, to ease development of your WS.
In this way we will know exactly how the data we retrieve are presents and we don't have to code a distinct logic for each integration. This means that once your WS is up and running, we only have to make the call from Consignor to your WS. This means less time used to development and a faster way to have the integration up and running.
