Consignor SMS Notification is a service where Consignor sends an sms to the receiver on the shipments when transmitting to the carrier. (Or any other given time)
This service is invoiced differently by the country where you have your lisence - for information about prices, switch to the local language and search for price list. If no information is given register a new case and ask.
You can build up the sms yourself with the given parameters you can choose by - the sms is limited to 250 characters.
To activate the sms Notification - go to setup in CONSIGNOR. Depending on witch level in setup (setup explained) you want to activate it, choose this level and right click on the right side of the hierarchy.
Choose New - then find SMS Notification Setup in this list.
Then this window will appear;
Here we recommend that you check the box Disable sms notifications on return products. You can also choose if the template you are going to create is for all countries or you can specify on your own local language in the drop down list.
To edit the message and add tracking number - go to the Edit button.
In this list you can find Shipment - Number - this is the tracking number you would want to send to the customer if the carrier supports track and trace.
To add items to the message, just mark it in the list and drag it up to the line above message preview.
Here is an example of what you can add to the message;
Your order: @@fld_RefOrderNumber@@ is now being shipped from us and you can track the shipment on the URL: @@fld_PackageTrackingUrl@@ - Consignor
@@fld_RefOrderNumber@@ - is the ordernumber registered in CONSIGNOR - you can either type this or find it under Reference - Ordernumber
@@fld_PackageTrackingUrl@@ - is the tracking link to the carrier - type it or find it under Reference - Tracking URL
When this is activated - you can choose on every shipment a service called Consignor SMS Notification in production.
