In CONSIGNOR you have the option to setup printers directly on the server - then clients can print from CONSIGNOR without having to install the printer.
To configure server printers in Consignor you have to be on the server, recommended logged in as administrator or in session 0 (local).
NB: Network printers
When using server print in Consignor it is the local service Consignorserver that executes the print, with networkprinters you have to log on to the service (Consignorserver) as a user with the proper rights to the printer.
See step 5 in the guide from Microsoft here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc755249.aspx
If you need to add a A4 printer the printertype is Windows (page).
When this is done, the printers are setup in CONSIGNOR but they are not defined to print. You can either setup Document Printer Mapping or set theese printers as default for labels or freight documents.
Document Printer Mapping can be added from both client and server side.
If you have several printers and need to override print somehow, Document Printer Mapping can be used to either set a default printer for one specific carrier or you can setup user based setup.
Document Printer Mapping can be added on different levels in the setup - if you add it above Carrier level you will have to browse trough all documents to find the correct label / freight document.
Mark the level you wish to add Document Printer Mapping on, then right click on the right side and choose new - Document Printer Mapping.
Here you have several options, either set a default printer for the chosen document - or you can go to the coloumn Override and choose User based.
User based printing
Choose User based in the coloumn Override and push User based printers..
Here you can add and maintain users - CONSIGNOR will show the windows usernames that have run CONSIGNOR.
