If the printer is not working properly, try the following:
1. Trouble shooting
- Try to turn the printer off as the first thing, when it doesn't work as it is supposed to.
- Turn off Consignor.
- Turn on the printer.
- Start Consignor again. Consignor will send a font file to the printer at the first start up.
2. Reset the memory.
- Hold down the green feed button.
- Turn the printer off using the button on the backside while you hold down the green button.
- Turn the printer on, keep holding the green button until it stops flashing.
- Turn the printer off and on and it is ready for use.
3. Sensor problem. (Printer keeps on printing labels, can not find the end of the label/ space between labels)
- Hold down the green feed button.
- Turn the printer off using the button on the backside while you hold down the green button.
- Turn the printer on, keep holding the green button.
- After 3 flashes release the green button. The printer will now print around 3 blank labels and one with some text ending with "Now in DUMP, Press Feed to exit".
- Press the green button. You should get a new label with the text "Out of DUMP".
- The printer is ready for use.
4. Change the printertype
LP2844 is an outdated printer and does not support all new fonts. LP2844 is not supported in Drop Zone and may result in labels with incorrect font. However, in some cases it can still work if the printer type is set to PDF label.
- Go to Consignor Portal > New > Settings.
- Change the Label printer type to PDF label.
- Click Save.
