1. Introduction to CPC Interface
CPC - short for Custom Price Calculation is a tool within the Consignor platforms that allows you to calculate freight prices on your own terms.
Whenever a price calculation is not available from a concept carrier, it is a good idea to set up CPC to calculate your freight prices.
The benefits are better cost control and reports from Consignor Portal.
CPC have been available in Consignor world for a long while where the price matrix are converted into a special XML structure. These XML structured files have mainly been edited and created by Consignor technicians or advanced Consignor users.
Now we have created an interface for CPC where users can easily generate new price sets or emodify existing ones trough your browser.
Through these 6 FAQ's you will be able to learn about all of the possibilities within CPC Interface.
Upon accessing the user is met by the following grid displaying the latest files processed through this web application. The files are classified as either Draft or Published. The sections have separate search boxes.
The search box mentioned above is only available when more than 10 entries are registered in the list. If less than 10 entries are detected the interface will look like the Published section above.
- The user has the option whether to import an existing file or create a new one. If Import is selected, then the user must provide a path to the file:
- After the adequate selection is provided the user clicks on the green check mark to confirm the upload. If the file represents a valid PriceSheet then a new entry will appear on the main grid after the upload has been completed under Drafts:
- Otherwise, a validation message is displayed and no file will be uploaded.
[Part 2: LIST OF VALIDATIONS & EXAMPLES]
Inside the grid a file may have either a Draft or Published status. A Draft is editable and thus changes can be made to the file’s contents. Other actions are available on the right side of each entry:
From left to right the icons represent the following actions: Edit, Clone, Export, Delete and Publish. A Draft can be published at which point no further modifications can be made to the file aside from Cloning. The Published file is then used in the Price Calculation item from Consignor On Premises.
