We have a few cases where Consignor does not suggest the nearest drop point on carrier PostNord.
In some cases this will happen if the receiver address and the droppoint address are identical.
In cases where we have no geo coordinates for a given address, it is not possible to calculate a correct distance. We use Google geocoding, but for some addresses no coordinates can be obtained. In cases with no geo codes, the center of the post code will be used or we will use PostNord's preferred drop point for the given postal code - even if it's not the nearest.
Using the drop point ID in Consignor will usually give the correct result.
We are investigating possible ways to improve the cases where the geo coordinates are incorrect.
